Experience in Aluminium
Raffineria Metalli Cusiana is specialized in aluminum scrap recycling. Since 1974, we invested in research and development, in order to increase increase the efficiency and the sustainability of his production processes. Today it is known throughout Europe for the quality of its products and the ability to process aluminum scrap, the only material used in its plants.
It is in fact the exclusive use of recycled material that characterizes the production of Raffineria Metalli Cusiana, a feature that allows it to drastically reduce CO2 emissions while ensuring high quality standards.
To develop increasingly sustainable solutions, looking for present and future needs, Raffineria Metalli Cusiana has installed renewable energy sources in order to eliminate carbon dioxide emissions. This important addition, combined with experience in scrap processing, has led to the development of a Co2-free aluminum recycling process, called Recall.

Quality
Offer high quality products and ensuring its safe use are essential objectives for Raffineria Metalli Cusiana. During each phase of the process, the material is checked several times to ensure its analytical quality and the absence of radioactivity. For this reason we constantly improve our control tools and verify that the final characteristics of the product reflect the customer’s requests.
Indeed, since 1993, Raffineria Metalli Cusiana has been one of the first companies in the sector to be certified ISO 9001.
Environment
We are part of the environment that surrounds us, so we respect and protect it.
From the exclusive use of recycled material to the use of renewable energy, the Cusiana Refinery aims to eliminate CO2 emissions for its production.
The installation of photovoltaic panels and the energy produced by our hydroelectric plant are currently able to fully satisfy the Recall process, but the future goal is to power all production through renewable energy sources.
ISO 14001 certification is proof of our commitment to developing increasingly sustainable solutions to protect nature.
